The couple, who are from Johnstown, Ohio were on a Mahoosuc Guide Service weekend overnight dogsledding excursion. Although they had never tried mushing, Sarah bought the trip as a Christmas present for her husband, who is an avid outdoorsman. The trips are designed to teach novices the basics of dogsledding.
