PINCHER CREEK, ALBERTA, CANADA. Shell Canada's Waterton natral gas complex lies beneath the Rocky Mountains, near Waterton Park. The plant, known as a sweetening plant, removes hydrogen sulfide from the natural gas extracted from the Waterton Field. Natural gas found along the Rocky Mountain front is considered "sour"gas, with a high content of hydrogen sulfide.
