AK NOME 00-10
NOME, AK An early summer snowfall covers the willows and tundra outside Nome, Alaska. Nome lies about 150 miles south of the Arctic Circle and has a subarctic climate. In June the sun barely dips below the horizon allowing nearly 24 hour daylight.
